OFP Timber Framed Homes

Leading the way in timber frame house design and manufacture

OFP is a timber framed housing company based in South East Kent. Over the past five years we have developed alongside the timber frame industry in to a well organized enterprise capable of building numerous large scale projects simultaneously all over the country.

Our mission is to highlight, promote and develop environmentally sustainable, yet affordable, architecturally stimulating timber framed buildings.

Timber is a totally natural product, which is non-toxic, recyclable and biodegradable. Wood requires far less energy to produce than concrete or steel. Over 75% of the energy required to manufacture wood products comes from wood residues and recovered wood, making timber frame construction the most environmentally friendly form of house building.

Wood is a renewable resource and using more wood can help reduce the growth of global warming. Estimates suggest that every cubic metre of wood used instead of other building materials saves 0.8 tonne of CO2 from polluting the atmosphere.

Timber framed homes look the same as traditional brick and block homes but have a higher thermal efficiency (U-value), which easily meets current building regulations requirements. They are easier to heat and keep warm and can offer you savings of as much as 70 per cent on energy costs. Because timber frame is so design flexible, it’s easy for you to incorporate your own ideas. Creating your own design is fun and extremely satisfying - and it ensures that your new home has all the facilities and features that you and your family require.
