Planting day at Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch, Cardiff
April 2008
The pupils of Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch in Cardiff were outside enjoying their breaktime when David Bellamy came to visit.
Professor Bellamy called at the school with Tree Appeal and their partners from Principality, including Dylan the Dragon! Staff from the building society came along to see how trees that they had sponsored were making a difference and to plant a few more with the help of some green-fingered pupils.
Deputy head Dylan Hughes, whose class helped to plant the new trees, said, ‘It was an excellent day; the children really enjoyed it and we had lots of positive feedback from parents. It’s great to be able to form this relationship with a local business like Principality.’
