Tree Appeal Partner

Halton Lea Shopping Centre

Halton Lea Shopping Centre is the heart of Runcorn New Town with 500,000 square feet of shopping space, most of it on one level. It is open seven days a week with the slogan ‘everything you need under one roof’ and has high street stores, specialist shops, building societies and banks, restaurants and a post office. The centre has undergone a major refurbishment programme since 1991 and expansion work has continued in the form of a 12-acre retail park adjacent to the centre, together with a 9-screen Cineworld multiplex cinema.

Halton Lea have been working the Bee Aware scheme to promote sustainability within the centre and in the local community, and have committed to planting 1000 trees in schools this year with Tree Appeal. By planting trees in schools, Halton Lea are not only creating wildlife habitat, promoting biodiversity and making a greener world, they are also providing outdoor learning resources for local school children, helping future generations to understand the natural world.

"Halton Lea Shopping Centre is so proud to be a Tree Appeal sponsor, providing the opportunity to really make a difference to the local community and environment. The sponsorship has also positively connected the Shopping Centre to ten local Primary Schools, who are potentially our future customers. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Moore and Hillview Primary Schools for their support during the environmental and tree planting projects."
Lindsay Bellis, Deputy Manager, Halton Lea Shopping Centre.
